I'm a student and artist and this is a weight-loss/health and fitness blog. I go by Rosa. I struggled with an eating disorder for several years while I was a teenager. I went from quite overweight to borderline underweight in a short time and spent the next few years restricting on and off after that - that was my first time losing a large amount of weight. My weight was never low enough to be considered anorexic but I restricted severely until I was very ill. I worked on recovery and I became passionate about body love and self-esteem. However from 18 to 22, after leaving for university, I gradually gained a lot of weight after becoming very depressed - and my weight more than doubled from my lowest weight in that time. I reached my highest weight of 222 lbs (bmi 40.5) in May 2010. I didn't feel a connection to the person in the mirror and I felt I was missing my life. I was 22 but I felt old and ill and I decided I needed to lose that weight again for myself. I'm a believer that any weight can be beautiful but I also believe that the body is a canvas and that one should express oneself how one wants with it.

I have lost roughly 122 lbs. I lost the weight as healthily as I could while trying not to let the eating disordered part of me get control again and for the most part I succeeded, although I do still struggle with those urges and towards the end of my journey I did struggle to stay fully healthy.

Now, I'm eating a healthy amount - aiming for a small-moderate calorie deficit. I'd still like to lose around 1 pound but I'm focusing on losing as healthily and in the most stable way I can, with a focus on fitness, fat loss and muscle gain rather than a number. I weight train and run and try to keep active generally.

Above all, I want to feel young, healthy, fit and powerful. This is a health/fitness/fitblr blog. I support self-love and fitness at every size.

I ♥ fitness, weightlifting, handstands, yoga, learning about nutrition, healthy foods that taste good, protein. I am passionate about health, both physical and emotional. I'm motivated by seeing my fitness increase, summer, shopping for new clothes and the awareness that this is my only life.

I'm no expert but I'll try to answer any questions I receive based on my experience - my ask is always open :)

Outside of fitness - I love art, photography, style/fashion, makeup, interior design, summer, travelling, shopping, writing, spending time with my partner and in nature, exploring, cafes, festivals, spirituality, sex, reading, the internet, good tv shows, music (listening and playing), dancing. I have a personal tumblr, message me for the link.

I have an account on bodyspace.com for progress pictures - so message me if you want the link :)
